Nurturing our youth, and rewarding those who help to define the regional spa & wellness industry – Spa & Massage Therapists.
The Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) will organize the first ever regional completion for Therapists in Asia Pacific.
The Asia Pacific Championship of Massage (APCM2018), is being organised by the APSWC, in conjunction with the International Massage Association.
This event is exclusively for Spa & Massage Therapists, and is conducted over two days in five categories – Swedish Massage, Asian Massage, Wellness Massage, Free Style, and Chair Massage. Therapists can enter a maximum of two categories, with each therapist receiving two massages and performing two massages in each category entered. This is an opportunity for Therapists to learn and improve their technical skills.
Qualified industry experts will judge the preliminary rounds, with the winner of each category and up to three wildcard competitors moving on to the final Championship Round. Participants are expected from across the region for this first of what is anticipated to become an annual event for Therapists in the region.
APCM2018 is supported by Massage Supplies Warehouse, Singapore; Cemara Ayu, Malaysia; Beauty Department Store, Thailand.
Sponsorship Opportunities available.
About the APSWC: The APSWC is a not-for-profit organisation, officially registered in Singapore in July ’07. It is the result of an informal roundtable of industry professionals from across the region who, in May ‘06, gathered in Singapore to map out a development strategy to improve and promote the spa industry for the benefit of all. The current board has members based in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The 2017 White Paper can be downloaded free of charge from www.apswc.org
